T.On Sunday morning, October 11, 2015, following davening at Bais Yitzchok, ourcommunity had the chance to bid farewell to a family connected to BY for generations. When the Shul honored the Nulmans at its 2009 Annual Gathering, the presentation was all about the connection between the Nulman/Weinstein families and the Shul. The past is one factor but the present is another.

The Nulmans were an integral part of Bais Yitzchok.Anchel was Gabbai Shemi, Gabbai L’tzedak and a regular presenter of d'vrai Torah, siyyumin celebration his completion of milestone learning in his life and a welcome face at every minyan. WhenAnchel arrived at Shul could Zilpa Nulman be far behind? She was often seen helping Jean Zimmer with set up and preparations for the Sunday breakfast, obtaining the bagels and providing overall support for every activity scheduled for the Shul.

The Nulmans were planning this move forsometime, especially with family members and children already in Israel. As much as BY hosted this event, many Elizabeth residents joined in the tributes. Rabbi Avraham Herman, Rav of the Elmora Avenue Shul, represented the community leadership and spoke in glowing terms about the contributions made by the Nulmans. The Shul prepared a picturemomento album which was presented to the Nulmans at their new home in Ramat Beit Shemesh by Esther Addison Steinhart, who was visiting at that time. S

We wish them well and look forward to greeting them when we visit Eretz Yisrael,  Chazak v'amatz.
